Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join their team in Austin, TX. This role is crucial in managing the development and construction of large-scale multifamily properties from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience working for a large general contractor, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all aspects of project management for large-scale multifamily developments, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the ownership group and all project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and municipal authorities. Advocate for the owner’s interests at every stage of the project.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration between all parties involved. Provide guidance and direction to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor construction progress, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Address any issues that arise during construction promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. Monitor project schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful completion of projects. Resolve conflicts and issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the project meet the highest standards of quality and workmanship. Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with contractors to address any deficiencies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates and reports to keep clients informed of project progress.


Qualifications:


  • 5-8 years of project management experience working for a large general contractor, specifically in the construction of multifamily or large-scale commercial properties.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large project teams effectively. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX. Local market knowledge is a plus.
