Senior AccountantMantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid position (Thursdays on site). The ideal candidate will be a technical accountant with an understanding of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and/or ASC 842 Leases, as well as a background in financial reporting and analysis.Responsibilities to include but not limited to:Monitor large volumes of data and ensure data is accurately organized and up to date, maintaining a clear overview of the status.Collaborate with project teams to assess the revenue recognition method under ASC 606, then document the analysis and conclusions clearly and comprehensively.Prepare and review lease-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and disclosures in accordance with ASC 842.Create and maintain lease accounting schedules and reports.Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.Provide support for ad hoc projects and additional analyses as needed.Ensure compliance with internal control requirements.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accountingCPA certificationMinimum of 3 years of prior public accounting experience (Big4 preferred)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesPreferred qualifications:Knowledge of ASC 606 and/or ASC 842 standardsExperience in the Government Contracting industryFamiliarity with the following software: LeaseQuery, SalesForce, Google Suite, ShareWorksSecurity clearance requirement:US CitizenshipPhysical requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentationsMust be able to provide accurate information in these situationsMantech International Corporation considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to disability or veteran status or any other status protected under any federal, state, or local law or regulation.
