Job Summary:


A Product Development Engineer is needed for a leading industrial manufacturing organization in the southern Atlanta metro area. The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for focusing on the creation of new products and support existing product offerings. This role involves interpreting industry standards and conducting development tests on high-voltage interrupters, mechanisms, control systems, and more, all tailored to customer needs.


Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, along with a minimum of 7+ years' of product development experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential, as is a comprehensive understanding of our product line. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of making critical decisions, and able to work independently.


Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop new high-voltage interrupters and control systems based on project specifications.
  • Create detailed design drawings and specifications using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and After-sales teams for problem resolution and quality assurance.
  • Conduct and document Quality and Type tests for products.
  • Write assembly instructions, instruction manuals, and other quality documentation.
