Job Summary:

As a Product Engineer at Insight Global, you will be responsible for driving dimensional characteristics and tooling excellence in the investment casting process. This role involves both new development and production castings, requiring strong collaboration with a Process Engineer to ensure metallurgical aspects are met.

The primary focus is to engineer the highest yield and lowest overall cost product while meeting or exceeding customer-defined quality requirements. You will work in a team environment with other engineers and hands-on with the manufacturing team, necessitating strong communication skills.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
  • Follow safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Oversee manufacturing tooling design, construction, and implementation to optimize dimensional yields.
  • Create manufacturing routing and processing instructions to streamline production.
  • Develop and debug processes for production and developmental castings.
  • Prepare First Article Inspections to qualify parts and ensure quality standards.
  • Actively pursue the continuous improvement of existing processes and supply technical support to customers.
  • Comply with company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and occasional overtime.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets technical procedures and drawings.
  • Effectively writes work instructions, reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers and/or customers.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility required at the time of hire.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Investment casting experience.
  • Solid Works and NX CAD proficiency.
  • Minitab/statistics knowledge and strong Excel capabilities.
  • Technical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in tooling design and/or dimensional inspection/Metrology.
