Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to review and approve piping system designs and specifications.
  • Oversee the installation of piping systems, ensuring compliance with project plans, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and ensure alignment with their expectations.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budget & Cost Management:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled.
  • Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Review and approve change orders, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, foremen, and field staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on piping systems, project management best practices, and safety protocols.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety:
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure piping systems are installed to the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular site inspections and safety audits.
  • Resolve any technical issues that arise during the project, providing solutions that maintain project quality and integrity.
  • Project Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and financial reports.
  • Provide regular project status reports to senior management and clients, highlighting any risks or issues that may impact project outcomes.
  • Ensure all project documentation is archived and accessible for future reference.


Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial piping project management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing piping projects in industrial settings, such as refineries, chemical plants, or power plants.
  • Experience working with various piping materials (e.g., steel, PVC, HDPE) and understanding of industry standards (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or piping systems are advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of industrial piping systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and project teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software.


  • Certifications:
  • OSHA 30 certification is required. Additional certifications related to piping systems or project management are preferred.
