Role: Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Expertise:
  • Proficient in Layer 2 technologies including VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), PortChannels, vPC, and MAC address management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VRFs, and DMZ configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with Wireless technologies, including centralized wireless, certificates, BYOD, and Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Skilled in WAN technologies including MPLS, SDWAN, and IWAN.
  • Experienced in network management tools like SNMP, Fortimonitor, QoS, NetFlow, and AAA/TACACS.
  • Architectural Design:
  • Familiarity with Collapsed Core, Leaf and Spine architectures, and application flows.
  • Understanding of Cloud concepts and architectures, including L3, VPC, TGW, and Route53.
  • ACI Expertise:
  • Experience with Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), including creating tenants, bridge domains, VRFs, EPGs, AAEPs, and restoring fabric configurations.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, and proxy servers.
  • Ability to assist customers with design requirements and project-related activities.
  • Participate in Wipro and customer calls to support P1/P0 and crisis incidents, including RCA and problem management.
  • Lead MIM team triage efforts and provide guidance from the network perspective.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, communication, flexibility, and self-motivation.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, provide training on new procedures to lower-level support teams.
  • Oversee day-to-day service delivery and systems performance.
  • Guide and mentor team members on new technologies.
  • Participate in an on-call rotational schedule for after-hours support.

Qualifications:

  • CCNP Certification (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
  • Minimum of 5 years of enterprise-level network engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to work with complex network technologies and architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
