The Company

The Role
The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) plays a critical role in our clinical laboratory by performing specialized analyses on fibroblast cells, ensuring accurate results for patient diagnosis. This position requires a strong foundation in laboratory techniques and a commitment to quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specialized analyses on fibroblast cells within the Cell Culture or Assays team.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Manage laboratory inventory and supplies.
- Participate in competency and proficiency testing.
- Prepare detailed reports of test results.
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Follow the direction of laboratory leadership.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology Science or equivalent
- Experienced in cell culturing
- Previous experience in CLIA laboratory setting
- Valid ASCP certification (preferred)
- High ethical standards
- Consistent weekend work schedule. Employees will work one weekend day per week (e.g., Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday)
Desired Qualities
- Valid ASCP certification (preferred)
- Clinical chemistry, biochemistry, and/or immunoassay
- Three (3) years of work experience
