Job Description

Job Title: Single Cell/ Spatial Biology Lab Tech/Scientist/Manager

Job Summary:

Psomagen Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laboratory Researcher to join our team as a Microbiome Product Development Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing bioinformatics pipelines, curating and constructing microbiome databases, and validating microbiome tests as part of our microbiome testing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the management team to develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines for microbiome data analysis.
  • Curate and construct microbiome databases to support the development of microbiome tests.
  • Validate microbiome tests to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microbiome data into our product development pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of experiments, protocols, and results.
  • Support inventory and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education in molecular biology, genetics, genomics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on molecular biology experience with PCR-based assays and technical knowledge of genomic profiling technologies, including Illumina sequencing platforms and complex library preparation workflows for bulk RNA-seq, 10X Genomics scRNA-seq, and 10X Genomics Visium spatial transcriptomics.
  • Knowledge of QC metrics, interpretation, and demonstrated use of approaches for assessing the quality of samples and libraries for bulk RNA, scRNA, and spatial profiling, such as capillary electrophoresis, qPCR, spectrophotometry, cell counting, and viability.
  • High attention to detail, self-motivated, critical thinking, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment both collaboratively and independently.
