Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar
  • 5+ years relevant experience as a Controller in a similar role
  • 2+ years experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Accounting experience with a Public company
  • Prior experience with SOX
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
  • Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills




Responsibilities


  • Perform and manage close of monthly financials.
  • Review and prepare month-end schedules and supporting documents
  • Supervise accounting team, assisting with any training or development needed
  • Support organization by providing analysis and reports concerning financial data and metrics to appropriate management
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain required documentation
  • Responsible for confirming all accounting policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Prepare and manage annual budget and quarterly reforecasts. Review actual financial results compared to budget and provide analysis to management.
  • Ensure ERP system is financially accurate at all times
  • Perform reserve calculations (excess/obsolete, WIP overtime, bad debt, etc.) leveraging data from multiple sources using complex excel formulas.
  • Inventory management
  • Oversee administration of cash flow, AP and AR for the company
  • Exhibit strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Remain honest and ethical at all times
  • Read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical or government regulations and documents
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once
  • All other duties as required
