Join Our Team as a Technical Service Technician
What You'll Do:
As a Technical Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in supporting Sealed Air's customers by providing exceptional technical service and promoting our Cryovac packaging materials and equipment systems. You will be a key player in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales success through your technical expertise and proactive support.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Provide top-notch equipment troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance services to ensure seamless operation for our customers.
- Customer Training: Lead equipment installation, training customers on proper operation, maintenance, and sanitation practices.
- Safety & Technical Guidance: Keep customers informed about safety regulations, technical updates, and equipment improvements.
- Quality Analysis: Diagnose packaging quality and production issues, identifying whether they are equipment, material, or product-related.
- Preventative Maintenance: Advise customers on establishing preventative maintenance programs and managing spare parts requirements.
- Customer Relations: Build strong customer relationships through regular visits, equipment audits, and expert advice on packaging techniques.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team in introducing new products and capturing new opportunities, ensuring timely completion of all administrative reports.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school preferred. Previous experience with Cryovac equipment is a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Mechanically inclined and innovative thinker.
- Strong time management, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer technology (Email, Excel, Word, Google Apps, CRM).
- Ability to work cross-functionally and use basic hand and power tools.
- Requirements:
- Valid US Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 30% of the time.
- Experience in commercial or industrial troubleshooting, installation, servicing, and programming.
- Background in food packaging or related fields is advantageous.
