Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budgets, and organizational goals.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers specializing in construction and industrial sectors.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to anticipate and address supply chain challenges.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and high-quality supply of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Resolve any disputes or issues with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations in line with project needs and company policies.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are documented and tracked to provide transparency and accountability.
  • Monitor and control procurement costs to stay within budget while meeting project requirements.
  • Work closely with the finance and project management teams to forecast procurement costs and manage financial risks.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project timelines.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments for critical suppliers and materials, especially those impacting project delivery.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment within the procurement team.
  • Provide regular training and development opportunities to team members.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and market conditions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on procurement data and trends.
  • Utilize procurement software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in purchasing processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the construction or industrial sector.
  • Proven experience in large-scale construction or industrial projects, with a strong understanding of the specific procurement needs of these industries.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
