Position Summary: The PLM Business Analyst will be a key player in our IT department, working closely with cross-functional teams to define and streamline business processes, mapping them to our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution, Team Center. The primary focus of this role will be to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring they are effectively applied to our PLM technology. A significant portion of the work will involve collaborating with a specific business unit to develop and implement a change management process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to understand and document business processes related to product lifecycle management.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring they align with the capabilities of our PLM solution, Team Center.
  • Work closely with a designated business unit to identify stakeholders and gather requirements for the development of a change management process.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to capture detailed requirements and obtain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for the PLM system, working with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Provide ongoing support to users, helping to troubleshoot issues and optimize the use of the PLM system.
  • Participate in testing and validation of the PLM system to ensure it meets business needs.
  • Work with other analysts, administrators, and program managers within the IT team to manage multiple projects in the pipeline.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PLM space, recommending enhancements and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Team Center experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proven experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, particularly Team Center.
  • Strong understanding of change management processes and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with process mapping and documentation techniques.
  • Experience with project management methodologies is a plus.
