Associate - Tax Law - Top Firm

Top law firm is looking for a mid-level tax associate (3-6 years) with experience working on the taxation of corporate and partnership business transactions. The associate would primarily be involved in transactional practice working on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, fund formation and financing transactions.
Strong academic credentials along with excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Major law firm experience is preferred, but not required. Beyond D.C., candidates can also sit in New York, Chicago, or any other major market.
J.D. along with top law firm experience preferred (or top non-law firm candidates are welcome to apply). Top of market compensation along with top law firm bonus. 2000 billable hour target. We have a very close working relationship with the head of recruiting at the firm, so our candidates (if you have the right credentials), will very much be considered and reviewed. We are frequently told by associates and partners, that we are great in providing guidance through the entire interview process (that is unlike other recruiters) - without being pushy and annoying (just helpful).
