Position Overview: Are you ready to make an impact and be part of something big? We're seeking a talented Director of Supply Chain to join our production team. In this role, you'll oversee the Supply Chain, Procurement, and Warehouse departments, acting as the lead contact for vendor qualification, negotiation, and purchasing. This position requires material purchasing experience with a strong background in analyzing issues, planning, problem-solving, and negotiating with suppliers.
What You'll Do:
Supply Chain Management
- Establish and implement methods that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand
- Manage and oversee warehouse staff, ensuring goals and objectives are met
- Support strategic contract negotiations and re-sourcing initiatives
Procurement Planning
- Participate in S&OP meetings and develop procurement plans.
- Work with receiving to deliver material daily to production lines.
- Ensure customer on-time delivery and proactively identify and address issues.
- Implementing and managing an inventory control system
Facilities & Maintenance
- Ensure customer on-time delivery and proactively identify and address issues.
- Manage the Facilities team and ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
- Develop strategies and programs to improve productivity and efficiency of materials flow within the company.
What You'll Bring:
Strong Analytical & Problem Solving Skills: Analyzing data and identifying trends is crucial for effective inventory forecasting, purchasing decisions, and resolving supply chain issues.
Exceptional Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership ensures that the warehouse staff is motivated, productive, and aligned with the company’s goals, further fostering a collaborative environment.
Practical Communication & Negotiation Skills: Must be comfortable negotiating favorable terms with suppliers for maximum cost efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 7 years of demonstrated leadership experience in supply chain and/or procurement.
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts such as ERP, cycle counts, and inventory control.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong computer skills and a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
