Senior Functional Architect

Title: Senior Functional Architect
Compensation: $120-140k
Type: Direct-Hire
Industry: Retail
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate discovery and scoping sessions alongside product managers and business team members.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both waterfall and agile development methodologies, as our approach combines elements of both.
- Understand business processes and consider potential constraints (budget, timeline, expertise) to define realistic project scope and expectations.
- Collaborate with Designers, Technical Architects, Technical Leads, and development team members to define solutions for features, integrations, and production issues.
- Act as the bridge between business/product management teams and technical teams, regardless of project size.
- Utilize designated tools (such as Atlassian) to meticulously document specifications, including testing criteria.
- Align functional requirements with Salesforce.com features and functionality.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to the project team during implementation and testing phases.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing in collaboration with product management and business team members.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for SFCC Business Manager, supporting production features and post-launch projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (preferably B2C).
- 8+ years of overall experience in solutioning, discovery, business analysis, and technology implementation across full life-cycle projects.
- Certification in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, with completion of the SFCC Business Analyst trailhead.
- Proficiency in Atlassian tools (strongly adhered to for ticketing and documentation).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with confidence in collaborative teamwork.
