ALocal Pick-Up Delivery Dispatcheris responsible for supporting drivers after hours, identifying issues, and using critical thinking skills to find solutions. They will work together with Operations teams to ensure on-time service is met per customers' expectations.
Day Schedule:6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Days Vary) - $15/hour
Night Schedule:6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. (Nights Vary) - $16/hour
Responsibilities:
- Communicates in a clear and consistent manner and with high integrity both internally and externally.
- Manages drivers during extended coverage shifts.
- Acts as an extension of Fleet Supervisor of fleets assigned.
- Using critical thinking, provides solutions to drivers to assist with complex situations.
- Accurately enters data into company computer systems.
- Escalates and/or resolves problems per guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Motor Carrier Operations.
- Apply knowledge of Motor Carrier Resources to meet company, customer, and driver needs.
- Moderate knowledge of North American Supply Chain Network and Operations.
- Competent user of MS Office.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Mesilla Valley Transportation began in 1982 as a small independent fleet in the Southwest. In the late '80s, MVT went through a controlled growth spurt and began to encompass the 48 connected states and Canada.
Today, Mesilla Valley Transportation is one of the largest locally-owned Truck Load carriers in the U.S. We specialize in time-sensitive service between major manufacturing areas within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico borders.
