We are seeking a dynamic individual to support our Manager of Security Operations and the CISO as a Coordinator over IT Security leading a team of 7 engineers with varying levels of expertise.
Role Overview: As the chosen candidate, you will play a crucial role in strategizing and developing KPIs and operational metrics. These metrics will be used to analyze the return on investment and provide valuable insights to executive leadership. Additionally, you will lead and support responses to critical incidents, making hands-on experience with security incident response essential. We are looking for someone who has a track record of reducing operational gaps and inefficiencies through continuous improvements and guidelines. While this role involves technical components, it is equally important that the candidate feels comfortable with security engineering fundamentals.
Must Haves:
- B.S. Degree in Business, IT Security, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience of 8 years in IT including 5 with heavy IT Security focus.
- Security or IT certification
CCNA, Security+, etc.
- Experience leading teams
- Extensive experience with incident response
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
Formal Job Description:
The IT Security Coordinator will assist the IT Security Manager to design, develop and manage the implementation of corporate information security policies, procedures, and programs with the goal of ensuring compliance with all aspects of the HIPAA Security Rule and protecting all information assets of the organization and the PHI of our patients.
The IT Security Coordinator is expected to interface and work cooperatively with peers on the various Information Systems’ teams as well as with the leaders of other departments and locations to share the corporate security vision with those individuals and to monitor compliance with all aspects of the security program. A Coordinator may focus primarily on either the hospitals and overall network security, or he/she may focus on Physician Practices and security of other remote/off-site locations.
Compensation:
$__120,000______ to $_140,000_________ per year annual salary. [If client has provided an exact salary, then no need to use a range; also, if the client has provided an hourly rate, then use same hourly language from the Contract/Contract-to-Hire section above.]
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
