Water Treatment Specialist

Job Overview

USALCO the leader in municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment chemistry is hiring for a Water Treatment Specialist (WTS) for Texas. The WTS develops and implements market and sales strategies to achieve growth. The successful candidate will be a selfstarter with the ability to work in a team environment and will possess strong interpersonal and negotiating skills including the ability to build an effective working relationship with supply partners. The candidate must also be an excellent communicator to clearly present information and respond to questions from groups of managers associates customers and suppliers. Travel will be approximately 25%.

When not traveling the position will work remotely from their home office.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • New business development will be the primary responsibility and focus.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers by ensuring quality value and responsiveness.
  • Secure new customers while assisting our existing customers to achieve effective and efficient treatment
  • Create marketing plans and strategies including evaluation and entry into target markets trade shows etc.
  • Develop and propose changes to the strategic business plan to ensure positioning for longterm growth
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters Including technical support field testing optimization pricing etc.
  • Read analyze and interpret contracts bids general business periodicals professional journals and technical procedures
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Compose reports and business correspondence

Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from a fouryear college or university
  • Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook Microsoft PowerPoint Adobe Acrobat and CRM software
  • Strong Interpersonal skills analytical skills and English communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize tasks according to their importance
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager Key Account Manager Sales Account Manager or relevant role
  • 3 years of successful experience in an industrial and/or technical outside sales role
  • Valid drivers license

Working Conditions

  • Regular visits to customers are required
  • Environment primarily includes indoor work
  • Environment for occasional outdoor exposures at plant locations includes hazardous materials loud noise and extreme heat/cold
  • Physical requirements include standing sitting stooping reaching bending and typing
  • Workdays are Monday Friday with weekend work as needed
