Position Overview: The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the revenue cycle operations to optimize revenue, ensure compliance with regulations, and improve overall efficiency. This position requires a strong leader with excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of revenue cycle processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for revenue cycle management to achieve organizational goals.
    • Lead and mentor the revenue cycle team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to align revenue cycle initiatives with organizational objectives.

  2. Revenue Cycle Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including billing, coding, collections, and denials management.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize revenue and reduce revenue cycle inefficiencies.

  3. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, billing guidelines, and payer requirements.
    • Stay abreast of industry changes and updates to ensure that revenue cycle processes are compliant and up-to-date.
    • Coordinate with the compliance team to conduct regular audits and address any compliance issues proactively.

  4. Process Improvement and Innovation:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance revenue cycle efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Leverage technology and automation to streamline revenue cycle processes and reduce manual interventions.
    • Drive innovation initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends and adopt new technologies that can benefit the revenue cycle operations.

  5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, clinical operations, IT, and payer relations, to achieve revenue cycle objectives.
    • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle matters and provide guidance and support to stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, reimbursement, and compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, strategic planning, and project management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
