As the Sales Director, you are in charge of leading and motivating the company’s sales team to meet and exceed sales targets. You will build strategic plans and goals for team members, ensuring they closely follow these plans to achieve their objectives. Your responsibilities include conducting research to set the sales team’s weekly activities, as well as monthly and quarterly quotas and objectives. You will also provide sales reports for leadership review, ensuring that the team’s progress is clearly communicated. In this role, you will work to enhance overall customer service skills within the team and improve the customer base by identifying and entering new markets. Additionally, you will travel approximately 20 to 30% of the time to visit customers, potential clients, tradeshows, and industry functions.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage an effective sales team with highly skilled members.
  • Manage and exceed or reach the set business targets assigned.
  • Develop, execute, and oversee strategies and plans to achieve set business targets.
  • Work to improve the customer base and enter new markets.
  • Build and maintain good and lasting relationships with clients.
  • Partner with directors in other fields to devise better strategies.
  • Create and maintain accurate records and sales reports.
  • Direct the marketing efforts for the company.
  • Handle house accounts and specially assigned accounts.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of capital equipment sales experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience closing multimillion-dollar capital equipment projects.
  • Experience leading a team of Sales Representatives.
  • Preferred 5+ years of sales leadership experience in technical B2B sales processing in chemical, plastics, pharmaceutical, and food ingredients industries or chemical machinery.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20-30% of the time to visit customers, potential clients, tradeshows, and industry functions.
  • Proven experience in selling integrated custom engineered process systems.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to provide timely feedback to both internal and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products and CRM.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
  • Experience in "Mixing" processes is highly preferred.
  • Beneficial knowledge in one or more of the following process technologies: Powder Mixing Systems, Drying Systems, Liquid Processing Systems, Separation System, Powder Handling and Packaging Systems
