POSITION SUMMARY:
This position assists with the financial management and reporting activities of the company, as well as supporting executive management team in offering insights and financial advices that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.
- Responsible for Global Budget/Forecast/Analysis activities
- Leads monthly/quarterly/yearly profit & loss forecasts, budgets, and management meeting preparation
- Consolidates monthly results of Sekisui Specialty Chemicals (America, Europe and Mexico sites)
- Coordinates monthly management meeting reports/data/monthly sales analysis and reporting activities
- Calculates journal entries for off-spec lower of cost or market, VAM accruals, formula sales accruals, fixed cost per ton
- Interfaces with external auditors
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Business Management preferred).
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in finance, primarily within financial planning/budgeting/forecasting roles.
- 2+ years of managerial experience preferred.
- A self-motivator, a leader with an intellectual curiosity, eager to learn and grow, able to learn on their own.
- A team player, must be able to work with people within, and outside of the Finance department, and to build effective relationships with all levels of an organization.
- Extremely strong analytic, problem solving and modeling skills required.
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where everyone is expected to balance multiple roles and commitments.
- Understanding of orientations and business priorities as well as ability to influence the business.
- Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Proven working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- SAP knowledge and experience.
