Job Summary:

Converge Technology Solution is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Virtualization Solutions Architect to join our pre-sales solution architect team. In this senior role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced virtualization solutions for our clients. Your expertise will drive our clients' digital transformation strategies, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient virtualized environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Design and Architecture:
    • Lead the design and architecture of complex virtualization solutions tailored to client needs.
    • Develop comprehensive architecture blueprints, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scalability, and security.
    • Stay abreast of emerging virtualization technologies and recommend strategic enhancements.
  • Implementation and Optimization:
    • Serve as a technology champion to provide guidance on:
      • Development of go to market solutions and offerings.
      • Deployment, integration, and optimization of virtualization platforms in diverse environments.
      • Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of virtualized infrastructures.
      • Implement best practices for capacity planning, disaster recovery, and high availability.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network, storage, and security specialists, to deliver cohesive solutions.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through complex technical decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
    • Conduct regular assessments of existing virtualization environments to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Obtaining sales and technical certifications around various data center solutions as required.
    • Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing cutting-edge virtualization and cloud technologies.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, processes, and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade virtualization solutions.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Deep expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix, KVM, or Xen.
    • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments.
    • Proficiency in network, storage, and server infrastructure as they relate to virtualization.
    • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Terraforms, Ansible, Python).
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Proven track record of leading complex projects and technical teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware VCAP/VCIX, Microsoft, Red Hat)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator - RHCSA
