Overview: The Director of Treasury Operations and Accounts Payable is responsible for managing the team, tasks, and projects related to forecasting, banking administration, payments, banking relationships, and merchant card processes.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


Team and Task Management:

  • Lead the Treasury and Accounts Payable team in fulfilling the organization's financial obligations.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth financial management.


Collaboration and Partnership:

  • Foster a proactive partnership with Accounting, Financial Services, and Leadership teams.


Project Participation:

  • Engage in various financial projects to enhance operational efficiencies.


Forecasting and Analysis:


  • Develop, update, and analyze forecasting models in Excel.
  • Identify, investigate, and communicate the root causes of significant variances in weekly forecasts.
  • Monitor daily cash positions to ensure adequate near-term cash flow.


Accounts Payable Expertise:


  • Oversee Accounts Payable processes, including Vendor Master management, invoice processing, payment runs, and aging payables research.
  • Implement process improvements in Accounts Payable.


Relationship Management:


  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with banking partners and vendors.


Funding and Insurance:


  • Execute funding with hypothecation lenders to meet business cash requirements.
  • Assist the Treasurer in maintaining the insurance broker relationship and managing annual insurance programs across corporate and resort management divisions.


Merchant Processing:


  • Set up merchant processing services, link appropriate bank accounts, and maintain a database of MIDs and related information.


Procedure Development:


  • Update and develop desk procedures for all Treasury and Accounts Payable Analyst functions.


Banking and Payments:


  • Manage bank consolidation efforts across resort property management divisions.
  • Coordinate the setup of bank products and services used by Treasury or other departments.
  • Approve electronic payments (Fed wires and ACH) using financial institutions' online platforms.
  • Research and resolve bank questions and reconciliation issues.


Special Projects:


  • Undertake special projects as assigned by management priorities.


Compliance and General Duties:


  • Perform assigned duties while adhering to company policies, procedures, business ethics, FLSA regulations, and all applicable laws, ensuring confidentiality, reliability, quality, and productivity.


Job Requirements:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in treasury/cash management and Accounts Payable.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • Preferred experience in corporate, property management bank, and payables operations environments.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining forecasting models.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and motivated to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Treasury operations and Accounts Payable.
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of bank products and services.
