ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Associate of Multifamily, you will assist senior management with all aspects of real estate investment and development projects. The Senior Associate will receive a broad-based exposure to the full spectrum of real estate investment and development from acquisition/project underwriting through planning, construction and stabilization/operations of assigned projects.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; advanced degree (MBA, MRED, etc.) beneficial but not required

·      2-5 years’ real estate experience; preference for candidates with multifamily focus 

·      Exceptional analytical, quantitative, financial modeling skills with significant underwriting experience

·      Strong critical thinking skills and resourcefulness to identify and mitigate risks, enhance opportunities

·      Excellent oral and written communication skills; highly interpersonal

·      Independent thinker comfortable expressing contrarian views

·      High attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet pressing deadlines

·      Must be self-directed goal oriented while thriving in a team-centric environment


RESPONSIBILITIES:

·    Support the Multifamily team’s evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, market research, acquisition, disposition and asset management of future and existing multifamily investments

·      Perform deal screening and initial economic feasibility

·      Manage delegated processes associated with project pursuit, pre-development, construction and asset management in coordination with the project lead

·      Assist senior development staff in securing the appropriate approvals, certifications, permits, etc. from city and other government agencies as required

·      Create and present investment memos to the Investment Committee

·      Actively manage assets according to Investment Committee-approved business plans through leasing support, ad-hoc analyses, and consistent monitoring and reporting

·      Support debt and equity capital raise efforts primarily through creation of presentations and lead follow up

·      Prepare and track development budgets; maintain project timeline, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget

·      Assist with monthly construction progress reporting including but not limited to schedules, applications for payment, etc.

·      Provide ongoing reporting related to project status to leadership, investors and other stakeholders


LOCATION AND TIMING:

This role is based in Salt Lake City, UT and is available for immediate hire. Start date is negotiable.
