JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports directly to the Coating Quality Supervisor. Quality Coordinator oversees the Quality Management System (QMS) for the coating facility. Will ensure each station Meets and follows SOP and QMS guidelines. Must have the ability to audit process and have excellent data keeping and entry skills. Quality coordinator will travel to external coating locations to monitor 3rd applications when required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure products and services provided at facility meet or exceed requirements
  2. Report all discrepancies and/or departures from published guidelines and procedures to facility management.
  3. Assist in QAR investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action and respond to QAR's issued against the facility by Corp. Quality
  4. Performing quality checks throughout production runs.
  5. Assess and coordinate individual employee training needs, provide quality system orientation, training and maintain documentation
  6. Perform spot checks of quality measurements throughout the coating process to help ensure material is meeting SOP requirements and report any deviations to operations management
  7. Oversee and ensure Sieve analysis of blast media are preformed daily (new media as it arrives)
  8. Maintain and conduct calibrations/surveys of ovens in facility
  9. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed
  10. Follow all Company HSE, QMS policies and procedures and report to the appropriate personnel of any violations of these policies or procedures.


Job Qualifications:

  1. Good communication skills/ability to conduct large grout training
  2. Mechanical aptitude as demonstrated by prior experience.
  3. Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions
  4. Self-motivated towards productivity improvements, quality, and safety awareness.
  5. Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  6. Willing to work overtime, weekends and some holidays as needed.


Experience:

  • Proven proficiency in coating plant SOP
  • Prior coating and sand blasting experience preferred but not required.
  • NACE certification preferred


High school diploma or equivalent
