Senior Accounting Manager

You are a Senior Accounting Manager who will provide key support to our Finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and overseeing global accounting operations. You will drive process improvements, manage financial consolidation, and facilitate information flow between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization. You need to be tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and proficient in using NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.

This position is remote.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage and lead an accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant consolidated monthly close within corporate deadlines.
  • Oversee the accounting, payroll, and accounts payable functions of the company worldwide.
  • Provide detailed explanations for variances in monthly and quarterly numbers.
  • Maintain detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review and manage the reconciliation of operating expenses globally.
  • Assist the SVP Finance in monthly cash flow forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly consolidation and financial reporting packages for external and internal reporting.
  • Review and analyze new accounting pronouncements to determine their impact on the company, and when applicable, assist with the documentation and implementation of new standards.
  • Identify and drive accounting process improvements throughout the organization.
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of appropriate systems of internal control (e.g., SOX) globally.
  • Be the primary interface for the company’s external auditors and tax advisors worldwide.
  • Ensure statutory compliance for the company in all its locations and be responsible for statutory reporting processes and transfer price policies in all locations.
  • Proactively resolve issues and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Work on special projects identified by senior management.

What you bring:

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a must.
  • BA/BS in Accounting is a must; a CPA is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in GAAP is a must; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
  • Solid leadership skills required and ability to interface and collaborate with senior executive management.
  • Ability to work in a global environment and support internal customers geographically dispersed.
  • Experience of working in subscription software businesses will be an added advantage.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail while managing competing priorities.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
