Network Operations Center Technician

We are looking for an NOC Technician for a long-term contract in Fort Worth, Texas. You will oversee the Network Operations Center, ensuring the smooth operation of the client's IT infrastructure and Data Center systems. Your expertise will be key in swiftly addressing issues, identifying root causes, and escalating critical alerts to our tech support group. This is a fully on-site position, no remote.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide first level technical support for end-users, over the phone, through email and chat. Receives incoming customer requests for application, software, hardware, and telephone support. Utilize case management to dispatch cases/trouble tickets to appropriate departments via an electronic ticketing system.
  • Manage vendor access to the raised floor during equipment installations, upgrades, and problem resolution; hold vendors accountable for proximity and risk to other equipment.
  • Perform installation and racking services for server and network-based equipment.
  • Monitor all public safety applications and online systems and correct any related problems.
  • Perform technical and complex functions related to operating, maintaining, and monitoring performance of Data Center information systems. Provide infrastructure and environmental monitoring for Platform, Network and Radio groups during the shift.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 yrs. of experience working in similar role(s)
  • 3 yrs. in depth experience with enterprise computer hardware/software and information systems.
  • 2 yrs. of experience in networking and network monitoring areas including TCP/IP, Subnetting, Routing, DHCP and DNS Network, Application and Server monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.
  • CCNA certification.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification.
  • SolarWinds Orion Platform with Network Performance Monitor (NPM) certification.
