Job Description

The Cloud, Data, and AI Technical Sales Leader for the Americas, with a primary focus on presales technical architecture, will drive growth in areas such as cloud migration, application modernization, data lakes/lakehouses, data mesh, Data Governance and AI use cases, particularly in the telecommunications sector. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise and strategic sales acumen, tailored to meet the dynamic needs of clients across the diverse landscapes of the Americas. The ideal candidate should possess a nuanced understanding of the telecommunications industry, with the ability to design and present solutions that address specific challenges like cloud adoption, modernizing legacy applications, leveraging data for strategic advantage, and implementing AI-driven innovations.


Responsibilities

  • and articulate advanced technical solutions in areas like cloud migration, application modernization, data lakes/lakehouses, data mesh architectures, and AI use cases.
  • presales engagements, particularly focusing on solution architecture for telecommunications clients, addressing their unique challenges and objectives.
  • tailored strategies for clients, integrating solutions like cloud migration paths, modern data architecture (including data lakes and data mesh), and AI-driven innovations.
  • with sales teams to align these technical solutions with broader sales goals and customer-specific requirements.
  • current with technological advancements in cloud computing, data management, and AI, ensuring the proposal of innovative and relevant solutions.
  • thought leadership and mentorship to sales teams, enhancing their technical and industry-specific skills, particularly in the telco domain.
  • in technical negotiations and presentations, effectively communicating complex solutions to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Experience and Skills Required

  • experience as a technical architect in presales, with a strong focus on cloud migration, application modernization, data architecture, and AI.
  • 10-12 years in technical sales and architecture, with substantial exposure to the telecommunications industry and projects involving cloud, data, and AI solutions.
  • in designing sophisticated solutions like cloud migration strategies, application modernization plans, data lakes/lakehouses, and data mesh infrastructures in two or more hyper scalars (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI or Redhat).
  • communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across various cultural contexts in the Americas.
  • ability in translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable solutions for clients in the telecommunications sector.
  • leadership skills in guiding multicultural sales teams, with an emphasis on technical sales in the telco industry.

Education

  • degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related field required.
  • technical certifications or training in cloud computing, data architecture, AI, or related fields, especially those pertinent to the telecommunications industry.
  • degree or MBA preferred, with a focus on technology or international business.
