Medical Coordinator Support

Our client, who is a leader in placenta donations and the development of birth tissues, is looking to grow their team near you They are looking for someone with clinical experience and top-tier bedside manner to join their efforts in changing lives. As the Coordinator Support Associate you will take charge of implementing their policies and procedures.



Responsibilities

  • Follow company standard operating procedures, including obtaining informed consent, conducting tissue acquisition procedures, and fostering positive hospital relationships
  • Obtain and clarify informed consent from diverse patient population.
  • Assess donor risk and provide accurate feedback
  • Collect and document blood specimens with chain-of-custody protocols
  • Retrieve pertinent patient medical records
  • Manage scheduling in a dynamic environment
  • Conduct aseptic placenta tissue acquisition procedures, including OR involvement and interaction with staff
  • Handle labeling, packaging, and shipping of tissue and lab specimens
  • Exhibit strong account management and communication skills
  • Monitor and maintain equipment cleanliness and temperature records


Skills/Requirements:

  • Preferably 2 years of clinical experience (e.g., CST, RNs, CTBS)
  • Associate’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, or Nursing preferred
  • Pass background checks, drug screenings, and periodic retesting
  • Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices
  • Capable of performing aseptic tissue acquisition procedures
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift 30 pounds
  • Strong interpersonal skills and bedside manner
  • Effective communication with patients and hospital staff
  • Perform well under pressure without compromising quality
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Compensation: $49k + commission/per tissue (Average $11,500 yearly)

Schedule: four 10's and rotating weekends; travel to different hospital locations in the area
