Nevium Intellectual Property Consultants is a San Diego-based consulting firm focused on analyzing and valuing intellectual property assets. We provide IP valuations, expert witness testimony, and strategic advice to law firms, business owners, and strategic investors. In the litigation aspect of Nevium's work, the team performs damages analyses and prepares reports for ongoing legal disputes. Nevium also focuses on defamation cases involving high-profile individuals, utilizing online and social media analytics to support our expert opinions.


We are hiring an IP Damages and Valuation Analyst to join our team in San Diego to contribute to various intellectual property valuation and litigation consulting assignments. The candidate must have strong financial analysis, writing, and critical thinking skills.


The candidate should have completed coursework in economics, financial analysis, statistics, or accounting. Responsibilities will include investigating social media metrics, data collection and investigations, building complex Excel models, and writing well-referenced reports and presentations. The individual chosen will have the opportunity to immediately contribute to client projects and work closely with our firm’s owner and management team.


This position is not remote and will be based in San Diego, California.


Responsibilities include:

  • Editing, formatting, and organizing reports and presentations for clients
  • Developing valuation models and damages calculations (DCF, Comps, etc.)
  • Possess the ability to think creatively, approach challenges with an innovative mindset, and develop independent opinions
  • Performing financial analysis and writing the findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Setting and meeting project deadlines and completing key tasks in a timely manner


Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, economics, finance, or accounting
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility and adaptability to rapid growth or change
  • Advanced computer literacy, including intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Proficient writing skills including, but not limited to, excellent use of grammar and punctuation, spelling, research, outlining, editing, revising, and organization
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective Team Player
