Hudson Mind is a division of Hudson Health, featuring an innovative subset of behavioral health - Interventional Mental Health. IMH is a complement to traditional behavioral health work and while the sector is new, each treatment has been well studied to prove its efficacy. Our clinical interventions (which currently include ketamine, transcranial magnetic stimulation, stellate ganglion block and Spravato) were carefully designed by a cross-functional team of experts in psychiatry, anesthesiology, and neurology.


Position Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting formal evaluations of new patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing education on available treatment options.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of new patients to assess mental health status, medical history, and treatment needs.
  • Collaborate with the lead psychiatrist and medical director to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
  • Prescribe and manage appropriate therapies in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
  • Provide patient education on mental health conditions, treatment options and self-care strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team, including the clinical operations team as well as external providers of patients to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.


Qualifications:


  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • Valid and unrestricted license in the State of New York.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care, with a focus on promoting mental health and wellness.
