What You'll Do:


As a Project Engineer Intern (PEI), you’ll get hands-on experience supporting our field operations on various projects. Reporting to a Project Manager, you’ll also have the chance to shadow a Superintendent, gaining insights into how we manage materials, equipment, subcontractors, and timelines to ensure projects are completed successfully. Throughout your internship, you’ll learn to balance client needs with company interests, ensuring everyone’s goals are met.


What You’ll Learn:


During your internship, you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience in several key areas:


1. Estimating:

  • Visit project sites to understand site conditions.
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs and learn how to prepare bid proposals.
  • Understand how to review subcontractor bids and manage the bidding process.


2. Contracts:

  • Learn to read and interpret contract requirements, both for our clients and subcontractors.


3. Purchasing:

  • Gain experience in preparing purchasing documents and ensuring subcontractor compliance.


4. Project Management:

  • Support project managers in planning and executing project startup and coordination meetings.
  • Help maintain project schedules and assist in coordinating subcontractor work.


5. Financial Management:

  • Assist in managing and tracking field costs, expenditures, and subcontractor payments.


6. Project Close Out:

  • Participate in the project closeout process, including organizing punch lists and final documentation.
