Director of Marketing Operations and Technology


Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Marketing Operations and Technology to lead our marketing technology initiatives and drive operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in key MarTech platforms, including Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, optimize marketing processes, and lead a cross-functional team to achieve our marketing objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

MarTech Implementation & Management:

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
  • Utilize Marketing Cloud Engagement and Personalization to build and optimize customer journeys, audience segmentation, and campaign templates.
  • Ensure that MarTech solutions are effectively integrated with other systems to create a seamless marketing technology ecosystem.


Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to identify and prioritize business needs, translating these into technical requirements for marketing technology.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for the deployment and enhancement of MarTech platforms that align with business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.


Team Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Align marketing teams and internal stakeholders with defined processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency in marketing operations.
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to support the marketing team in achieving their goals.


Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Leverage Data Cloud and other analytics tools to provide insights that inform marketing strategies and optimize campaign performance.
  • Implement best practices for data management, ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the marketing organization.


Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, with a strong emphasis on marketing technology.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations including: Marketing Cloud Engagement, and Data Cloud is required.
  • Proven track record of building and optimizing customer journeys, audience segmentation, and campaign management within Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience in sourcing, selecting, and building requirements for MarTech solutions based on business priorities.


Leadership:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with a focus on collaboration and alignment with broader business goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels.


Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of MarTech platforms, particularly Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
  • Proficiency in building and managing complex marketing processes and workflows.
  • Familiarity with data management practices and analytics tools.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
