CornerStone TTS is looking for a talented and experienced Snowflake Platform Engineer to join our team for a fantastic hybrid opportunity in Irving, Texas. This role is perfect for a senior engineer passionate about data platforms and eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Snowflake Environment Management: Design, implement, and maintain the Snowflake data warehouse to support organizational data needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to translate data requirements into scalable Snowflake solutions.
- Optimization: Configure and optimize virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, and user roles for maximum performance and resource efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor and tune the Snowflake environment to ensure optimal performance.
- Data Security: Implement robust access controls, encryption, and data governance policies to ensure data security and compliance.
- Integration: Develop and maintain ETL processes, data ingestion, and transformation pipelines to integrate Snowflake with other data sources.
- Innovation: Stay updated on the latest Snowflake features, assess their applicability, and implement relevant features.
- Collaboration with Cloud Services: Ensure seamless integration between Snowflake and other cloud-based services in collaboration with infrastructure and cloud services teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline, or equivalent experience. Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Snowflake Administration: Minimum 4 years of experience in Snowflake administration.
- Architecting & Implementation: Proven experience in architecting and implementing data solutions on Snowflake.
- RBAC Design: 2-4 years of experience in designing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for Snowflake environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SnowSQL and Snowpipe.
- Data Migration: Experience migrating traditional large-scale data warehouse environments to Snowflake.
- Performance Tuning: Experience setting up monitoring, alerts, and performance tuning in Snowflake environments.
- Data Integration: Proficiency with data integration tools and technologies, such as ETL frameworks and data pipelines.
- Cloud Services Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS.
- Data Governance: Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices.
- Visualization Tools: Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Scripting Languages: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- ELT Tools: Experience with modernized ELT tools like Matillion or Qlik.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification: SnowPro Certification is a plus.
