As a Data Architect specializing in Azure technologies, you will play a pivotal role in driving design, development, and implementation of robust scalable data management solutions that harness the power of Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.


Responsibilities

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in designing and architecting data management solutions both on-premises and cloud.
  • Should have solid understanding on design principles of database architecture and business strategies using Azure Cloud Data Ecosystem.
  • Maintain the governance model on the database architecture through training, design reviews, code reviews, and progress reviews.
  • Participate in the development of database architecture and roadmaps in support of business strategies
  • Determine how the enterprise’s data will be stored and utilized to best provide actionable data to the end user
  • Work with internal and external resources to develop robust Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes for disparate data sources


Professional Experience/Competencies

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Data modelling and data architecture design.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience working on solutions that collect, process, store and analyze large volumes of business-critical data.
  • ETL/ELT, data integration and data migration design using Azure Data Factory.
  • Design and implement Azure Data Analytics solutions using Azure Data Components like ADF & Power BI.
  • Must have solid understanding of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) & ADLS Gen2.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using ADF Tasks & Data Flows.
  • Must have data migration experience from on-premises to any cloud.
  • Strong proficiency in relational database management systems (MS SQL Server) and NoSQL databases
  • Working knowledge on Databricks and Notebooks either using pySQL or pySpark.
  • Working knowledge on Azure DevOps pipelines, Azure Entra ID & IaaC (Infrastructure as a Code)
  • Understanding the costing model for Azure resources is a nice to have skill for this position.
  • Working experience on Azure Fabric will be an advantage for this position.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and containerization.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective working with outside vendors and service providers to achieve business objectives and long-term partnerships.
  • Manage business expectations, set realistic goals with stakeholders and deliver them.
  • Define version control procedures and assist in managing all environments and Experience in Retail and Distribution industry is a plus.
