This position plays a critical role in managing the patient intake process and ensuring seamless transitions to home care.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Intake Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient intake operations, including managing the intake team, maintaining relationships with customers and referral sources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role also involves managing insurance verification and authorization processes to maximize reimbursement.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct daily patient referral and intake operations
  • Establish and implement intake policies
  • Maintain positive relationships with referral sources
  • Coordinate care with multiple service providers
  • Monitor insurance verification and authorization processes
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
  • Recruit, select, and manage intake team members
  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement
  • Identify opportunities for additional services
  • Access community resources for patients as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Masters in a related field preferred
  • Registered nurse license preferred
  • 3-5 years of healthcare management experience
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and payer practices
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Autonomy, organization, and flexibility
