We are seeking a Payroll Coordinator to process payroll transactions This is a great opportunity to work with a large HR team.


The Payroll Coordinator responsibilities include processing timesheets, updating payroll records and answering employee questions about payments. Ultimately, you’ll ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time.


Pay $55-56k + bonus

Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payroll for around 800 employees using UKG
  • Process new hires, separated employees, increases, garnishments, direct deposits, advances, tax changes and various loans as approved.
  • Complete generations of payroll wage and hours, including overtime and part-time, from exception and overtime reports of all departments and out port locations.
  • Calculate vacation time to be paid out for term employees.
  • Export overtime and part-time hours into payroll system.
  • Update employees’ job record and changes of employment status, as necessary.
  • Issue manual checks when needed.
  • Audit the sequence transaction report prior to transmission.
  • Prepare and transmit payroll.
  • Receive and translate files once payroll is processed.
  • Reconcile change notices against check register.
  • Download and import Custom G/L files for the SAP finance department.
  • Assist with overseeing databases, software, and computer systems including analyzing the HRIS system (UKG).


Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years' experience as a payroll coordinator
  • UKG experience a plus
  • Strong Excel experience
  • Familiarity with payroll processes
