Outrigo is an engineering consultancy company dedicated to delivering virtual and physical solutions for vehicle development that drive innovation by pushing the boundaries of technology and engineering.

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Development Engineer to join an exciting project. The right candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment alongside a team of technicians and engineers to deliver a product that meets all attribute targets.

All applicants must be eligible to work in Spain.

Tasks
  • Plan and execute tests in an automotive environment on the vehicle and system level ensuring compliance with safety performance and timing requirements.
  • Manage and monitor the prototype vehicle build process including planning and coordination.
  • Develop verification and validation plans to ensure thorough testing of vehicle components and systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee project activities in accordance with client requirements ensuring successful effective resource allocation and timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Document and report test results using internal tools and processes maintaining a structured approach.
  • Anticipate future test needs and collaborate with test engineers and workshop technicians to plan accordingly.
  • Identify and implement new test methods that align with vehicle requirements.
  • Optimize and streamline tools and lab equipment used in testing activities.
  • Propose design improvements for components based on test results and analysis.
  • Conduct data analysis correlate data to vehicle requirements and verify whether acceptance criteria are met.
  • Support crossfunctional root cause analysis tracking and documenting issues discovered during testing activities related to hardware software or integration failures.
  • Process strong troubleshooting skills to identify report and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and uphold Outrigos workplace standards to create a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • 1st Class Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical Automotive or Motorsport Engineering
  • Previous experience in vehicle testing and development within OEM Tierone or testing facilities.
  • Previous experience with use of vehicle testing and data acquisition tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of SW Diagnostic tools and skilled in troubleshooting techniques to quickly identify and rectify problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Desirable experience with proving ground testing.
  • Excellent teamworker who is agile proactive and has a startup attitude.
  • Track record demonstrating creativity and ingenuity.
  • Proficient in conducting full vehicle testing ensuring comprehensive evaluation of all vehicle attributes.
  • Proven track record of building strong written and verbal relationships internally and with external customers.
  • Capable of utilizing problem solving techniques within tight timing constraints ensuring efficient and effective resolution of challenges.
  • Possession of a valid B drivers license is mandatory and having a D or C license would be considered advantageous.
