Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the performance of ADAS systems in a proving ground environment and on public roads.
  • Assess the drivability performance of test vehicles in various driving conditions.
  • Instrument vehicles and collect data related to ADAS and Powertrain systems.
  • Evaluate the overall performance of Hyundai/Kia/Genesis vehicles from the North American customer perspective.
  • Perform subjective vehicle evaluations and identify potential customer complaint issues.
  • Plan and execute Design Reviews and Ride & Drives of prototype and pilot vehicles.
  • Benchmark competitor vehicles for technology and trends.
  • Track the development status of Hyundai/Kia/Genesis prototype and pilot vehicle projects.
  • Summarize media reviews and customer feedback of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.
  • Review customer feedback through JD Power IQS, Consumer Reports, and Customer Clinics.
  • Develop standardized test procedures and guidelines.
  • Interface with Hyundai and Kia affiliates in North America.
  • Support Autonomous vehicle and Powertrain development activities.
  • Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally to support product development and testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study
  • 2+ years of engineering experience
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience in the automotive industry
  • Working knowledge of vehicle advanced driver assistance systems
  • Good understanding of powertrain systems and vehicle dynamics
  • Background in prototype vehicle on-road testing and performance measurement
  • Good computer skills and experience in measurement and calibration with ETAS/Vector tools
  • Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink simulation
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
