Position Summary:


The General Manager oversees all aspects of the restaurant’s operations, including but not limited to employee scheduling, labor management, inventory management, and service planning and execution. They ensure that team interactions align with the restaurant's vision and culture, while maintaining cost-efficiency. The General Manager optimizes staff productivity by understanding how each team member contributes to the mission and performs their role to the best of their ability. Additionally, they serve as a bridge for communication between teammates and guests.

Core Responsibilities:


This role is dynamic and comprehensive, encompassing a variety of duties critical to our operational success:


Staff Scheduling & Operations: Ensure staffing aligns with business needs, including reservations, events, and daily flow, following established protocols.


Sales & Event Growth: Drive incremental sales, innovate with programming opportunities, and plan public and private events that go beyond the status quo.


Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with all departments to execute seamless service, guided by meeting plans and clearly documented BEOs (Banquet Event Orders).


Talent Management: Stay informed on industry pay standards to retain top talent, while managing the FOH labor schedule, payroll, and minimizing overtime.


Standards & Procedures: Maintain updated departmental SOPs and job descriptions that aim to exceed operational standards and maximize sales opportunities.


Team & Community Building: Foster strong, positive relationships both within the team and with external community partners to strengthen ties with the local area.


Compliance & Safety: Ensure full adherence to health, fire, and building safety regulations, while keeping updated records and completing incident reports as needed.


Guest Relations & Service Excellence: Handle customer concerns promptly, ensuring interactions reflect the company’s values. Oversee guest reviews and feedback.


Training & Development: Promote regular staff training to ensure thorough knowledge of products, scripts, and service standards.


Event Operations: Oversee event logistics, approve floor plans, and ensure BEOs are accurately documented for flawless event execution.


·Marketing & Promotion: Provide input on marketing materials and promotional efforts, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and strategy.


Financial & Reporting Oversight: Manage daily financial reports (EOD), capturing key details like sales, event summaries, service issues, and any necessary maintenance.


HR & Compliance: Handle all HR-related tasks, including payroll, worker’s compensation claims, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
