Assistant Controller – Hybrid


A company located in Montvale, NJ is seeking an Assistant Controller on a possible contract to hire basis. Qualified candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field along with several years of recent corporate experience as an Assistant Controller or an Accounting Manager.


Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller

  • Account analysis
  • Reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • General ledger
  • Financial reporting
  • Balance sheet analysis
  • Preparing audits
  • Month-end closing
  • Other senior accounting related functions


Requirements of the Assistant Controller

  • 2-3 plus years of recent Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA and/or a CMA is a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Pay Range: $60hr-$70hr

Salary range $60-70/ HR W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
