Are you ready to take charge of project controls programs and activities in a dynamic role? Join the West Coast Division of a construction powerhouse as a Project Controls Director and lead prime contract management, scheduling, cost control, and contract change management for a District or Mega Project.


As a Project Controls Director, you will:

  • Review and analyze contract management records, providing technical advice and project control guidance.
  • Oversee cost controls reporting and reconcile project cost reporting for a District or Mega Project
  • Manage the scheduling process and provide support for the District or Mega Project, from bid phase and project schedule creation to monthly reporting and schedule updates.
  • Support the integration of company systems to track, monitor, and control costs or schedules, ensuring accurate training and utilization of approved systems for project document control and reporting.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and monitor job cost reports against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate with the Division Claims/Contract Director to track and monitor change order and claims preparation and resolution.
  • Manage tracking activities around unsecured revenue and project contingencies.
  • Monitor over/under billing to control project cash flow.
  • Assist with resource and cost loading to the schedule, including labor projections, equipment and material projections, and productivity trend reporting to accurately forecast project costs and financial outcomes.
  • Assist in project close-out procedures by validating final revenue prior to final bill submission.
  • Stay aligned with the Company's values and strategic plan.


What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction engineering, project management, or project controls.
  • Experience with complex scheduling and cost control processes.
  • Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting.
  • Proven leadership and influential skills, able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
  • Ability to identify cost reduction strategies aligning with project budget and design specification requirements.
  • Strong delegation and communication skills, capable of developing or refining a company-wide program and clearly communicating expectations and business value.
