Product Support Engineer

One of the world's largest automakers is searching for a Product Support Engineer to join their Vehicle Quality team in Auburn Hill, MI on a hybrid schedule. In this role, you'll serve as the primary quality liaison between factories, dealers, and corporate offices to ensure that all vehicle quality concerns are reported, tracked, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.
This opportunity to support the most cutting-edge vehicles on the road today begins as an ongoing, W2 contract that offers full benefits and the potential to convert to permanent employment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor field warranty data and select technical topics for follow-up
- Review top warranty, long-term quality, early warning, and tow-in concerns to identify problems
- Report market and product concerns in technical detail with initial analysis
- Track, maintain, and follow up on claimed parts analysis results throughout their lifecycle
- Provide technical support to personnel at dealerships, in the field, at factories, and at corporate offices
- Perform preliminary analysis on warranty returned parts with the Quality Analysis team
Requirements:
- 5+ years of previous related experience in the automotive industry
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Understanding of dealership and warranty processes
- Strong technical acumen to provide helpline support on field quality issues
- Excellent writing and communication skills
