Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Director of Vendor Relationships to join their leadership team This exciting role, reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, is a critical position within Taylor Corporation's corporate supply chain operations. Taylor Corporation is a privately held, well-capitalized and diverse organization, with many opportunities for growth.Your Responsibilities:Development and execution of sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and delivery on KPIs, including supplier quality, delivery, and productivityDemonstrate strong leadership, collaborating with business and functional leaders to develop and implement strategies and results around supply chain managementProvide strategic direction for the supply chain organization; develop and execute the overall strategy for supplier and product sourcing and strategy within the groupBe a leader, change champion, and participant in the implementation of our new Oracle Cloud ERP and Supply Chain technologyStrategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to align with business objectives and drive competitive advantageCollaborate with senior management to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish targets for supply chain performanceMonitor industry trends, technology advancements, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for improvement and innovationCross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, finance, and marketing, to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectivesFacilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration to identify and resolve supply chain issues and bottlenecksChampion continuous improvement initiatives and lead cross-functional teams to drive operational excellenceServe as a People Manager: Create an effective and supportive work environment and culture by communicating clear objectives, fostering teamwork and inclusion, recognizing performance, and providing on-the-job coaching to employeesEnable results through others by ensuring clarity of goals, priorities and direction for the team, and developmentYou Must Have:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline10+ years procurement/supply chain experience; global sourcing experience desired, preferably in manufacturing5+ years management/supervisory experience in a medium to large-size business environmentExpert ability to develop and deliver strategic negotiation processes from transactions thru complex business partnerships including RFQs, RFPs and MSAsAbility to locate, qualify and negotiate terms with new domestic and global partners that improve supply-chain results, minimize disruption and reduce riskProven supplier performance-management skills with the ability to incorporate this experience into the business to drive accountability, measure performance and improve resultsDemonstrated teamwork skills, including ability to work effectively across organizational and geographic boundariesExcellent communication skills (written, verbal) and ability to effectively communicate with leaders and executivesAbility to collaborate with vendors, customers, employees, and influence peopleAdvanced analytic and data analysis skills - ability to organize data and independently draw key conclusions to drive business valueThe anticipated annual salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
