Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience as drafter-BOM builder or Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field and 10 years of experience as Drafter-BOM builder.

* BoM experience is an absolute must.

* Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role, with a strong portfolio of technical drawings and designs.

* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and familiarity with BOM management tools.

* Experience in change control procedures and documentation management.

* Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for BOM management

A reputable multinational manufacturer of single-use bioprocessing solutions (SUT) used in the production of biological drugs, including monoclonal antibodies, cell therapies, gene therapies, and vaccines. This role is expected to be on-site.

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, creating, managing, and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensuring meticulous documentation control within our organization as well as assist with design and material sourcing for new parts in support of these designs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate closely with customers, sales representatives, engineers and product managers to understand design requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
  • Analyze user requirement specifications, technical documents and materials to determine their impact on designs and provide technical recommendations
  • Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software proficiently to produce accurate and precise drawings.
  • Develop and maintain BOMs for several products, ensuring all components and materials are accurately listed
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to update BOMs based on design changes and product requirements.
  • Verify drawings and BOM accuracy and completeness to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Implement and manage change control processes for drawings, BOMs, and related documentation.
  • Track and document revisions, ensuring all changes are properly documented and communicated.
  • Assist in providing support to less experienced Engineer Designers.
  • Conduct quality checks on drawings and BOMs to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience as drafter-BOM builder or Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field and 10 years of experience as Drafter-BOM builder.
  • Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role, with a strong portfolio of technical drawings and designs.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and familiarity with BOM management tools.
  • Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in change control procedures and documentation management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiar with project management software.
  • Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for BOM management.
  • Patient, tactful, diplomatic, and approachable.
  • Able to stay calm in challenging situations.
  • Keen sense of urgency and ability to deliver ahead of deadlines.
  • Meets productivity standards.
  • Must be self-motivated, amendable to a variety of work projects and work efficiently independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Automotive or other regulated industry is a plus
