Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers, architects, and designers by converting rough sketches and concept designs into detailed technical drawings
  • Create detailed drawings, diagrams, and documentation using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software like AutoCAD
  • Consult with engineers and product designers to understand design specifications and product requirements
  • Research and collect specifications and dimensions to incorporate into drawings
  • Review drawings for accuracy, clarity, and conformance to engineering and manufacturing standards
  • Communicate with team members and clients to resolve issues, answer questions, and ensure design intent is achieved
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest design and engineering trends, techniques, and regulatory requirements


Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks or Inventor
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when producing technical drawings
  • Ability to interpret rough sketches, technical specifications, and engineering instructions
  • Understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles, materials, and processes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience as an Engineering Drafter
