With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team in Camarillo This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The Production Planner procures materials for manufacturing to fulfill the production schedule while minimizing surplus inventory. This position is responsible for keeping track of inventory levels and managing the use of inventory utilizing the ERP system.

Responsibilities:

  • Sets up weekly production by selecting components to fulfill the bill of materials (BOM) utilizing first-in, first-out (FIFO) method and minimizing surplus. Establishes lot numbers and expiration dates. Accountable for day-to-day activities required to create and maintain detailed production / supply schedules based on the master schedule.
  • Responsible for input of production orders and consumption inventory into software (Microsoft NAV). Works with production team to collect daily outputs and consumption to update KPI’s.
  • Manages inventory and makes necessary adjustments in NAV. Manages levels of building necessities, working with purchasing to keep them stocked.
  • Interacts with technical support, customer service, sales, and the repair team to obtain and update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with accurate information used for sales and engineering functions and planning. Inputs and keeps track of the repairs and location of all instruments into CM.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a technical field, or equivalent education and work experience, is required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in planning or production coordination, or relevant educational learning, is required.

Salary Range (applicable to California):

$24.00-$26.00/ hr. DOE


Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication,
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with Dynamic CRM is desirable.
  • Experience with MRP, specifically with NAV is desirable.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to details.
  • Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 20 pounds.
  • This position is considered light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the employee sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
