Desired Skills & Experience:

BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering.

2+ years of embedded systems / ASIC / SoC experience.

Knowledge of secure coding practices and procedures for both security firmware development and implementation.

Experience or knowledge of VLSI design, ARM, RISC-V, Synopsis and/or Mentor Graphics EDA tools, Verilog/System Verilog, C/C++, Perl, Python, Linux.

Experience with security, cryptography, cryptographic functions for custom Security ASICs, I2C, SPI, UART, test equipment, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, user/kernel programming on Linux, Zephyr Oss, Development Software, git, CMake, CTest, Bitbake, Jenkins, encryption standards, or authentication methods.


Plusses:

Certified Ethical Hacker, SISSP, Security+ Certification, hack-a-thon experience, continued education in security, etc.

Experience with the latest advancements in technologies utilized to protect secure ICs from various types of security attacks.

Skills to strengthen devices through both hardware and firmware system resources to reduce vulnerabilities.

Experience with image processing and interfacing with print/scan mechanisms.

Strong fundamentals in computer science, programming, design patterns, and industry best practices.

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer for a permanent opportunity with one of the most innovative companies in Lexington, KY. will be responsible for the overall security governance for the embedded systems organization. This includes monitoring the organizations compliance with secure Software Development Lifecycle, managing the vulnerability response process for embedded systems, managing on-going developer training compliance, participation in various CFTs on evolving security and privacy compliance requirements globally, and interfacing with the other security subject matter experts. The primary responsibilities for this role will be working with the security architect, firmware developers, and extended engineering teams to deliver secure systems utilizing custom security ASICs residing on end products. This Engineer will join a collaborative embedded security group and will have an experienced mentor to assist in all projects and development. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with high visibility and a great opportunity for growth.


***Compensation: up to 130k

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
