Job Description
• Supervision of the Clerical Staff and its registration process
• Work with the day to day operation of the Women's Health Services
• Knowledge of PAT process, including but not limited to, scheduling and financial clearance
• Work along interdisciplinary teams in order to address issues and problem and ensure patient satisfaction as well as efficiency
• Evaluates office production, revises procedures or devises new forms or methods to improve efficiency of work flow
• Assists in budgetary planning, reviews operating costs and expenses with department head
• Assists with the monthly providers' schedules
• Monitor appointment accessibility
• Participate in the registration financial, i.e. oversight of insurance verification, pre-authorization
• Create and maintains templates. Build and implement template changes as needed.
• Work with Leadership for updates and modifications on schedules; ensures accurate schedule to support the flow of the Practices
• Participates in Improvement initiatives, including, but not limited to, participating in leadership development, flow and Patient experience
• Data entry, maintain and generates monthly statistical data and reports for the Family Planning Program. Involvement in the Family Planning Grant process, including, but not limited to, supplies, data, report submission, conferences, troubleshooting as needed
• Perform related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling; and

Two (2) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, one (1) year of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in such occupations as physical, occupational, inhalation, speech and audiology therapy or as Medical/Laboratory Technologist, Microbiologist (various specialties), Chemist (biochemist), Radiation and X-Ray Technician; or two (2) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including one (1) year in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or

A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines listed in "1" above; and

Three (3) years of full-time experience, as described in "2" above, including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in occupations, as listed in "2" above; or 5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Department Preferences

  • Template knowledge and supervision experience preferred; insurance verification/authorization and pre-certification
  • Strong data entry/computer skills; effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be comfortable handling complex scheduling demands
