Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales team at PLA Beauty Inc. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the beauty industry, a strong track record in sales, and the ability to lead by example. This role requires a proactive individual who is both strategic and hands-on, capable of driving sales performance while developing and mentoring the sales team.


Schedule

Monday-Friday 9:30AM-5:30PM 


Leadership Responsibilities

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading a capable, innovative team with a high level of collaboration and accountability.  The Manager will be required to set goals and space for success while ensuring effective coordination with other PLA Beauty teams.  Additionally, this person will recruit, train, coach, mentor, develop, lead and celebrate each individual on the sales team in conjunction with the VP of Finance and HR and in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to capture market share in the beauty industry.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, beauty retailers, and distributors.
  • Handle major customer accounts directly and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Address and resolve any customer issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Oversee daily sales operations, including pipeline management, sales forecasting, and reporting.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities, manage customer data, and analyze sales performance.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and sales materials that support sales efforts.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market trends.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and brand.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a sales management role within the beauty or cosmetics industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, team members and leaders.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to travel to include international locations to attend trade shows and meetings.
  • Must be able to move up to 25 pounds at a time.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, social media platforms or related software.
